He lived in Mansfield Township for more than 30 years before moving to Lebanon Township, where he resided at the time of his death, according to his memorial.

Burd worked at ACF Landscaping in Washington, his obituary says.

In his free time, Burd loved all things sports, especially the Mets and Cowboys.

He was also remembered for his vibrant personality and consistent ability to make others laugh.

“He was kind and was loved by everybody,” his memorial says. “He loved his family fiercely and will be missed dearly.”

Burd is survived by his loving parents, Margaret Burd and Harry Burd III; brother, Harry; niece, Rachel; nephew, Alex; family dog, Cali; uncle, Larry; cousins, Danielle, Lindsley, and Sarah, as well as numerous extended family members and close friends.

He is also survived by his sister, Rebecca Burd, who shared her grief in a heartfelt social media post:

“Allen was that one person that was always around no matter what,” Rebecca writes. “I love my brother and will always keep him close to me in my heart.”

Burd’s services were held privately.
